Jeff Baloutine started Sustainable Orgs to support the efforts of community developers in his home state of Texas and elsewhere. He has brought new resources to nonprofits in various roles – a decade as a community reinvestment officer for a large regional bank, developer and director of new programs in various roles, and working for or partnering closely with three national community development intermediary organizations. Early in his career he taught urban studies at the university level and worked in city and county government and with a regional agency.

Sustainable Orgs LLC provides consulting  services to nonprofit community development organizations to enhance performance and promote sustainability.  Services have included conducting diagnostic assessment with actionable recommendations for nonprofits, support for program development and management, Public Policy development and support, grant writing and communications, data analysis,  and organizational development and planning. As needed, we collaborative  with a variety of accomplished community development practitioners.

Recent work has included supporting the policy work and operations of the Houston Housing Collaborative. assisting Builders of Hope CDC in Dallas with strategic planning, and providing public policy support to cdcb in the Rio Grande Valley.
